Fanime is over! Thanks guys for coming out and saying hello. :)
This year I illustrated the program cover! The theme was Summer 2012 Olympics, imagined as a sports anime! Some of you guys saw me livestreaming it, but here it is in its full glory. I drew extra bleeds on the top and bottom to allow room for the designers to add text and crop, so that’s why there’s this extra here that wasn’t on the physical cover. I’ll have more photos and other artwork up soon!

My demon fighter Ruriel, finally completed after working on it on and off for almost two months.
I’ve been really into painting lately so I hope this is a trend that sticks around. Sorry for really bad building perspective…

A Japanese ghost/yuurei and her bakechochin, a haunted lantern. This was drawn back in January for A-Kon 23’s yokai theme, and I was just told that it’s ok for me to post it!
Ironically, Zimmay drew the exact same thing during the exact same time and neither of us saw each other’s work until like…… yesterday. It’s not art theft, kids! Just really generic work tends to converge at some sort of medium. Herpderp.

Last-minute illustration for Anime Conji’s art contest, featuring thepiccolino’s original characters! I’ve been lustily eyeing that Copic marker prize all month and I managed to finish this in time.
Incidentally it will be my first year attending, so anyone in the San Diego area should totally come by!! Anime Conji, March 16-18, 2012 at The Town & Country Resort in San Diego, CA.
PS. I really hate the 8.5x11 canvas size and there was no way Naota was going to fit non-awkwardly into this composition, but I felt bad excluding him… Shoulda thumbed before I started, herp.

Happy Chinese New Year!! Year of the Dragon~
Illustration I did featuring our new dragon outfits for the Lunar Dragon bundle over at Gaia Online. I was stupid and drew my CNY greeting with unreleased designs and I was like noooo now I can’t post it online until the bundle launches…… Hopefully I’ll have time to render this image fully with shading and stuff in the future but for now, onto other things!
